PADI Open Water Diver Course

Open Water Diver Course students

The PADI Open Water Diver Course is universally recognized as the first step to become a certified recreational diver. After completion of this course you will receive the PADI Open Water Diver Certification, which will allow you to dive to 18 meters deep , anywhere in the world accompanied by a certified dive buddy.

Note: For children aged between 10-14 years we offer the PADI Junior Open Diver Water Course, which is essentially the same course, but with a lower maximum dive depth. Contact us for more specific details.

Course overview.                                                                                      
The course requires clients to be over 15 years old, and complete  5 theory lessons, 5 confined water dives and 4 open water dives, and generally takes 4 days.

Day 1.
Start at 8.00 in the morning at the dive shop. We do 3 theory modules which are watching video 1, 2, and 3, then you will make chapter 1-3 out of the book and make the quizzes 1-3.
Around 12.00 we are going to have some lunch at the resort and around 13.00 we are going to the swimming pool to do confined water dives 1 and 2.

Start at 8.00 in the morning at the dive shop. We do the last 2 theory modules which are watching video 4 and 5, then you will make the knowledge reviews and quiz 4 and final exam. Yeah theory out off the way lets go to the swimming pool for confined water dive 3, 4 and 5. We have lunch around 12.00.

Day 3.
Now its time to do some real diving in the ocean. We start at 7.00 in the morning and will go to one of our dive sites around Rote island. We are going to make 2 Open water dives.
Dive 1. Is a dive without any skills just have fun and enjoy the underwater world.
Dive 2. We will do a couple of skills in the open water that will take about 15 minutes after this we will enjoy the reef of Rote again. We will be back around 12.00 and have some lunch. After this its up to you what you want to do maybe go for a surf when the waves are good.

Day 4.
We start at 7.00 in the morning and going on a trip to a different dive site around Rote and make dive 3 and 4 of the PADI open water course, with a couple of skills in each dive after the skills we still have enough time to explore the reef of Rote island and all the fish life that’s around. After we come back your PADI dive instructor will certify you and you will get a temporary card. Your official certification will be send to your home address that you gave to us.
